On the 12th of October 2023, a day after the unfortunate incident of the spillage of the Akosombo dam, the honorable District Chief Executive in the person of Hon Divine Fenu toured the various communities to symphatize with the victims of the flood and also to assess the situation.
He commended the people for their show of oneness and support for Each other and praised especially the youth who volunteered to help the vulnerable and to salvage property.
He also distributed some relief items including bags of rice, mattresses, buckets, drinking water etc to affected persons and assured them of his support during these trying times. He also encouraged them not to loose hope because more help was on the way and together they shall bounce back.
